Initial Teaching Education

Holton Primary School is a Clinical Practice Partnership school with Cardiff Metropolitan University. We also work with the Open University.

 

We work together with the university to ensure that the teachers of tomorrow are provided with the knowledge, skills and experience that they need to become effective classroom practitioners.

We aim to ensure that our student teachers achieve the professional standards for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through a rigorous programme of training.

Student teachers are provided with a range of valuable and varied experiences across the school. They develop their expertise with the high quality support of both school mentors and university tutors.
